Chess-Puzzles.net
This website was born out of a need to promote chess play as well as my love of chess. The general premise of the website is you are presented with a chess board, pieces on the board, and you have to complete the puzzle in the number of moves mentioned. I currently have approximately 800 puzzles added and I am constantly adding new features to the website.
Currently the website has features such as:
- User System
- Website News
- Progression Tracking
- Rating
- Commenting
- Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Puzzles Picks
- Statistical data to see which puzzles are commonly attempted, recently attempted, most incorrect moves, etc.
- Related Chess Links
The entire website is 100% free and was/is fully created, maintained, and monitored by me (with the following exceptions).
- Use of the famfamfam icon pack
- Use of the dhtmlgoodies.com chess board
- Update: I have switched over to a CMS system for some of the more mundane tasks (user management for example). I am currently using e107 for the CMS system.
The only revenue that is generated from the website is from ads. So if you do visit the website, please promote it by clicking on ads or using the “AddThis” feature to refer the site to Facebook, MySpace, Email, etc..
